FIA announces groundbreaking partnership with Tomorrow.io, the world’s leading Resilience Platform™, joining as an Official Partner.
FIA becomes the first international sports governing body to integrate a fully commercial, space-powered weather intelligence platform.
Partnership will integrate Tomorrow.io’s hyperlocal forecasting, real-time hazard detection, and proprietary satellite data directly into Race Control and event workflows across the global motorsport ecosystem.
Weather has long represented one of the most unpredictable and consequential variables in motorsport, influencing race strategy, operational continuity, and safety-critical decision making. Through this partnership, the FIA will incorporate Tomorrow.io’s advanced weather intelligence into FIA Race Control and event workflows across the global motorsport ecosystem, strengthening situational awareness and supporting informed, coordinated decisions in dynamic race environments.
With this step, the FIA becomes the first international sports governing body to integrate a fully commercial, space-powered weather intelligence platform into its operations.
“Safety, fairness, and technological progress are at the heart of the FIA’s work. Integrating Tomorrow.io’s advanced weather intelligence into our global operations elevates the quality of information available to teams, marshals, broadcasters, and our Race Control staff. It represents an important step toward ensuring racing remains safe, competitive, and resilient, even under the most challenging conditions,” said Chris Bentley, Head of Information Systems Strategy, Single Seater at the FIA.
The collaboration will support the FIA throughout the 2026 season with sub-hourly satellite revisit data, minute-by-minute precipitation and storm forecasts, heat and wind risk assessments, and automated operational playbooks, helping Race Control make faster, more aligned decisions with greater confidence and transparency. As the governing body continues to lead the evolution of safety, sporting integrity, and technical innovation in global motorsport, partnering with Tomorrow.io underscores its commitment to
staying at the forefront of data-informed race governance amid increasingly complex, fast-moving conditions.
“Our partnership with the FIA marks a defining chapter not only for Tomorrow.io, but for the future of motorsport and mobility.” said Itai Zlotnik, Co-founder and CCO of Tomorrow.io. “In racing, every corner, every lap, every fraction of a second can shape a championship, yet safety is always paramount. By integrating our proprietary space program, advanced AI modeling, and impact-based intelligence into FIA Race Control, we are strengthening the decision-making environment that helps protect drivers and teams while supporting performance at the limit. This is exactly the kind of high stakes, championship-level mission Tomorrow.io was built to lead.”
