Alpha Tau Medical is developing Alpha-Emitters Radiation Therapy, a new type of brachytherapy for the treatment of solid cancer tumors. By using alpha radiation rather than the commonly used beta or gamma radiation, Alpha Tau Medical’s therapy is more effective than standard brachytherapy methods with less radiation, adverse effects and toxicities. The company is conducting clinical trials on various indications including pancreatic, brain, prostate, skin, oral cavity, and breast cancer.
