Shavit seeks to invest in successful, late stage or mature companies with strong management teams and proven track record that require growth capital in order to scale their operations.
Our target investment profile includes:
Shavit typically invests up to $5 million million per transaction and can lead investments of up to $15 million in conjunction with its strong investor base.
Mezzanine / Pre-IPO Investments
The Fund invests in small to medium-sized companies with proven products, market penetration and strong management teams that do not fit the investment criteria of the venture capital funds or are too small for the large private equity funds operating in Israel, which generally do not invest less than $10 million per deal.
Shavit's management team is uniquely positioned to support such small to medium-sized companies in pursuing their IPO plans. In particular, the management team comprises people who have directly represented and/or work closely with local and foreign investment banks.
Prior to closing any investment, the Fund works closely with leading investment banks and underwriters in order to obtain direct feedback as to the viability and best approach for an IPO, whether in the US, Europe, or Israel. Such feedback is generally decisive for our portfolio companies.
PIPE and Secondary Deals
Shavit is able to complete private investment in public equity (PIPE) and secondary deals in a flexible, timely and cost-effective manner and therefore represents an ideal solution for small to medium sized public companies attempting to raise amounts of up to $15 million. Shavit will also participate in larger financing rounds led by other first-tier investors.
Our target investment profile includes:
- Private companies that have a reasonably demonstrated IPO plan
- Public companies that need to raise funds via PIPE or secondary deals
- Selling shareholders that seek to divest significant stakes in successful, mature companies
